Trejo, Tovar top the Young Rockies over Padres 4-3 at 10


DENVER (AP) Rookie singles Alan Trejo hits the 10th inning win, hugely popular Ezequiel Tovar hit hits at the first two he’s seen in the major leagues, and a young Colorado Rockies halted the San Diego Padres game. He advanced with a 4-3 victory on Friday night.

Randall Grechuk and Yonathan Daza added a two-round triple for Rocky’s final position, which started six starters, including a new pitch.

“We are energetic and energetic and we just want to come here and produce,” Trejo said.

Colorado improved to 7-1 against Padres at Corse Field and won 14 of the past 15 games in Denver over the past two seasons.
