Giving to the Community: $27,500 was donated to local charities as a result of the two ‘tracks’ Talladega high-speed events in 2022

Tladega, Ala. – Officials at Talladega Superspeedway are grateful for the incredible support from the local community, as well as tourists, for the first two 2022 “Track Laps for Charity” fundraisers, which raised $27,500 for local organizations.

The first Charity Track courses on April 12 raised $12,500 and were split between Boys and Girls Clubs in Central Alabama and East Central Alabama. The second event was on June 18 and a check for $15,000 was written to United Way in North Talladega County.

As Crichton said, the following charity track courses are scheduled for Saturday, August. 13, and will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. CST. The money raised will go to “A League of Our Own – Oxford,” an organization that gives mentally and physically disabled children the chance to play baseball. The final event of 2022 will take place on Saturday 3rd December. For just $50, guests will be able to take two rides around the 2.66-mile Mammoth Trail in their personal vehicles as well as take a tour of the stunning Talladega Garage Experience (Open House). Attendees will be able to have their photo taken alongside the official Chevrolet Camaro Bases at Talladega Superspeedway and the traditional Vulcan Cup (a miniature version of the mega car) Vulcan statue – Awarded to each NASCAR Cup Series winner in ‘Dega’.
